NATURAL RUBBER


NR
Excellent mechanical properties, tensile strength, bending and compression.
Excellent electrical insulator. Resistant to dilute acids and detergents.
Maintains properties between temp. range of -50ºC to 90ºC.
Poor behaviour against rust, ozone, solvents and temperature.
STYRENE-BUTADIENE RUBBER
SBR
Good mechanical properties.
Resistant to ageing through heat and rust (with limits).
Resistant to dilute acids.
Maintains properties between temp. range of -50ºC to 110ºC.
Poor behaviour against solvents and petroleum


NITRILE


NBR
Good mechanical properties.
Good behaviour in continuous use in temperature range of -25ºC and 110ºC.
Excellent behaviour with grease, oils and aliphatic hydrocarbons.
Poor ageing behaviour.
Poor against attack by cos. products.

SILICONE

WMQ
WMQ    Weatherproof. The best insulator.
Resistant to grease, oil and detergents.
Maintains properties between temp. range of -60ºC to 230ºC.
Few mechanical properties compared to other rubbers.
POLYURETHANE

PUR
Rigid foam with various densities.
Excellent thermal-acoustic insulation. Waterproofing.
Excellent mechanical properties.
Good behaviour against abrasion and tearing.
Maintains properties between temp. range of -40ºC to 90ºC.
Quite sensitive to humid heat and water vapour.
Swells in response to chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons, ethers and ketones.
VITON®
FPM
Outstanding resistance to chemicals.
Maintains properties between temp. range of -30ºC to 250ºC.
High flexibility without any loss of long-term properties.
Heat and flame resistant.
Conductive. Low flexibility.
High cost.


NEOPRENE


CR
Good mechanical properties.
Good resistance to ISO solvents, dilute acids and detergents.
Self-extinguishing.
Maintains properties between temp. range of -25ºC to 110ºC.
Good resistance to ageing.
Not resistant to most organic compounds, except alcohols.
Average resistance to grease and hydro-carbonated solvents.


ETHYLENE-PROPYLENE


EPDM
one of the most versatile synthetic rubbers.
Excellent weathering behaviour. It also maintains its colour.
Good abrasion resistance. Low water absorption.
Electrical insulator.
Does not allow adhesion.
Not suitable for contact with grease, oils, petrol and hydro-carbonated solvents.


BUTYL


IIR
Excellent impermeability to gases.
Very good weathering behaviour.
Very flexible.
Maintains properties between temp. range. -45ºC to 120ºC.
Moderate resistance to abrasion and deformation.
Flammable, combustible.
